How it works
From your local field to your front door.
Our farm produces fresh, seasonal food for ~20 weeks, expected to start around the 1st of June.
You place your order online, we harvest accordingly, and deliver directly to your door.
You can also find us in person at the Westhill Farmer’s Market, buying straight from our stand.

How we grow our produce

Fertilisation
A field previously used as pasture, now using science to allow worms to do the rest.

Weed control
Weeds are controlled naturally through mulching, dense planting, and hand tools.

Pest & Disease control
Pests are prevented using physical barriers, while disease is controlled through resistant varieties, daily inspections and plant removal with zero chemical treatments.

Why is there limited produce available to select from?
Northside Local will endeavor to have as many items available as possible by employing early seed propagation techniques in the greenhouse and transplanting outside later in the season. The first 4 weeks (i.e. June) not all items will be ready, however from July, weather permitting all produce would be in season and harvest will be bountiful. Each week the items that will be offered will aim to match popularity with seasonality.
As this farm complies with best organic growing guidelines the focus will be on quality and taste of produce which will be offered only when it is at its best.
Can I become a member during harvest season?
Absolutely, however 2026 season will have a limited number of membership slots available, if all are taken then we may not be able to offer all the membership benefits.
